Asher’s Summer Internship Experience
This internship also healed me in a way as it was nice to be a part of a team and made me feel better about myself as PI is a very safe space. Everyone I met on the team was super nice and there was never a feeling of tension or conflict present.
As my internship comes to an end, all I can say is, “already?!” Although I feel like it went by super fast, I will definitely walk away with a lot of good memories and no regrets as this internship was a very positive experience. From working together with other people and sharing interests, to learning about new life skills, I got everything I wanted out of this internship and couldn’t ask for anything more.
Before coming into this internship I just finished my Junior year of high school and it was one of the most challenging years of my life as I was faced with new obstacles and losses. Once I was finally finished with Junior year, I felt like a weight was lifted from my chest as I felt like I could focus on myself more, but the weight of my future curiosity was still there as I was scared of how my future was going to be. However, doing this internship crushed a lot of these feelings as I was able to feel more confident in my future as I learned a lot of skills and options for what to do after high school.

This internship also healed me in a way as it was nice to be a part of a team and made me feel better about myself as PI is a very safe space. Everyone I met on the team was super nice and there was never a feeling of tension or conflict present. I also loved that our “work” meetings were actually just getting together to play games, which was very exciting. I am very glad I got to meet everyone on the team and I am thankful for the memories.
Overall, I am not going to ever forget this internship as the people I met and skills I learned have helped me so much. I never even thought about it as a job as I never felt overwhelmed or under pressure since I enjoyed the work and felt comfortable with the people I was working with. I hope that everyone can experience an internship like passion impact because not only did it keep me busy, but gave me some great skills and reassurance of my future.
