Passion Impact has 7 committees that meet monthly to support the mission by taking charge behind the scenes. Our goal is to include at least one student on each committee in order to keep the focus on students in all aspects of our endeavors. Food and drinks are the holy grail for high schoolers. Add in an office with a couch, a bean bag, and speakers – they are set! Among raising funds to support the office and the food that is supplied within, the Development Committee is responsible for supplying the organization with monetary and in-kind donations from community members, businesses, foundations, and donors. Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Equity (DICE)
Hosting speakers monthly at our office. Defining equity lens’ in collaboration with community partners. Training the organization on ways to be understand, respect, and represent all communities in Passion Impact. DICE is responsible for hosting a monthly Speaker Series throughout the year that brings together a diaspora of backgrounds to help students, volunteers, and neighbors better understand each other. The equity measures and policies that are brought forth alter and inspire the members of Passion Impact to continually consider all populations that we serve. Community Outreach Committee
Practicing people skills to inspire community members to volunteer with Passion Impact. Being knowledgeable of the organization, our priorities, and our good fit models. Making new friends wherever we go! The Community Outreach Committee is committed to supporting the volunteers within Passion Impact by understanding our needs, recruiting and training volunteers, and maintaining our volunteer relationships. Keeping the organization on track with the budget. Providing insight into how better to appropriate resources. Keeping updated with the city, state, and national requirements. The Finance Committee is responsible for keeping track of funding and expenses for all members of Passion Impact. The insight of the members on the committee prompt the Board to make more informed financial decisions that preserve the legacy of our work. Want to help manage budgets and financial reports? Building the framework for successful employee recruitment and on-boarding. Designing the best processes for hiring while including all the most necessary perspectives. The Hiring Committee is building the organizational capacity through equitable hiring processes the recruit passionate employees. Researching current and anticipated problems in education and careers where Passion Impact’s programs provide solutions. Discovering the gains of students and the areas where our programs fall short of expectations. Understanding the students and their communities in order to serve them best. The Evaluation Committee is tasked with the research, data gathering, and analysis of matching the outcomes of Passion Impact programs with the constantly changing educational and career environment. Interested in building long-term evaluation structure? Want to apply the statistics that you learned in your classes to helping programs make more informed decisions about curriculum? Building a website from scratch. Creating sustainability within the process of website administration through training videos and manuals. Highlighting the service and work of students and community members that support Passion Impact. The Wed Committee provides the background support for the organization to exist as a credible source of information online. Want to practice your coding skills to build a customized site? Passion Impact’s programs are magical, but unfortunately don’t run themselves. Our office space is a blessing to have, but keeping up with supplies and food can be difficult for our team with more support needed for students. We graciously invite you to become a General Volunteer to support Passion Impact’s momentum and growth!
