Informational Interviews

To excite students around differing educational and career pathways toward careers they could be passionate about!

Who are the students?

We are currently promoting this opportunity to Franklin High School students who live in SE Portland, but it is open to all youth. Many of them represent communities from all over the world, speak different languages, celebrate a smattering of holidays, and are curious about the future. A majority of students want to travel, help their communities, and become “successful” to help their families.

How should you prepare?

If you’re invited to join us for an Informational Interview, please review the questions below with the expectation that not all may be asked. You may be asked to sit on a panel relating to your specific job industry in order to bring about more diversity of answers. In addition, students will have the opportunity to ask their own questions after about 30 min. You are welcome to prepare a 5-10 presentation if you’d like, but it is not required. Your interview will be recorded and posted to our YouTube channel so that students who are unable to join have the chance to learn from you later.
