Sophia’s Summer Internship Experience

My internship with Passion Impact was an insightful experience. Reading Octavia’s Brood opened my eyes to social justice issues in our society. Watching ted-talks and going to the workshops made me realize how important privilege and my identity is. My favorite workshop was the Personal Mission Statement hosted by Stefan. Throughout my internship I collaborated with other interns from my school to plan out different events and learned essential skills like budgeting and teamwork. The informational interviews provided me with knowledge about what professionals did to get their jobs. And listening to others about their passion provides me motivation to find my own interest. Overall this internship provided me with new skills and left me with motivation for my last year of school in high school.
